Call for Abstracts: Method, Evidence and Archaeology 2016

The Department of Logic and Methodology of Sciences of the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava, invites contributions to an interdisciplinary conference dedicated mainly (though not exclusively) to the following topics:

  • conceptual methods in Archaeology
  • classification and typology of artefacts
  • non-deductive reasoning in Archaeology
  • theory and evidence in Archaeology

Contributions from both archaeologists and philosophers are welcome.

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Arts (Comenius University) in Bratislava, on November 24–25, 2016. Its organization is supported by APVV project No. 0149-12 “Analytic Methods in Social Sciences and Humanities”.

Submissions

Blinded abstracts of 150-300 words should be submitted to meaconference2016 (at) gmail (dot) com as well as a separate cover page with author’s name, affiliation and contact information. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2016. A notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent by September 15.
